Job Title:Workover Foreman

Location:Midland TX

Reports to:Senior Completions Superintendent


The subject position is within the Completions group and is part of a multidisciplinary team working the Permian Basin of West Texas. The position is located in Midland, Texas. The position is primarily field exposure with some office time as well. Communication & logistics within a hybrid environment is essential. This position is responsible for directly supervising and providing leadership guidance to workover operations. This position is primarily accountable for ensuring (horizontal & vertical) workover operations are conducted safely and optimally to extend runlife and maximize well productivity to ultimately reduce LOE.

Essential functions:

  • Provide supervisory duties for workover operations and other Parsley employees.
  • Manage workover operations optimally to extend runlife and maximize productivity to ultimately reduce LOE
  • Work well within the group and other departments within the company (specifically, Production Engineering, Production Operations, and Land) in a daily capacity and longterm to improve completion and workover standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate, organize and schedule completions and workovers.
  • Provide input on selection of key vendors and, in some cases, select vendors to provide materials and services for necessary operations.
  • Monitor the performance of service contractors, consultants and vendors.
  • Supervising safe & efficient implementation of procedures and programs.
  • Ensuring control & integrity of the well during all well operations.
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety and Company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Above average written and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in production workover operations (for example, rod parts, tubing leaks, fishing operations, cement squeeze, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills as related to Workover Operations.
  • Experience with OpenWells and Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).
  • Possess knowledge of Downhole Operations as they relate to the Oil and Gas industry.

Supervisory responsibilities:


Work Environment:

This job operates in an office and field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, Hand tools for day to day field work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will also work in outside weather conditions. The employee is exposed to wet and /or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, cold weather, extreme heat, and vibration.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal. While at the worksite the individual will be expected to walk and stand. On occasion this individual might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl.

Position type and expected hours of work:

This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours. Night and weekend work will be expected on a case by case basis.


Out of area travel expected daily. Overnight travel expected 10% per year.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 5+ years of industry related experience with demonstrated knowledge of production (down hole and surface)
  • 2 years supervisory experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
